A Letter From Our President

As president of Delta Gamma at Northern Illinois University, I would like to extend a warm welcome from myself, and the rest of my chapter.

Entering my senior year at NIU, it feels like just yesterday I was going away to college. My decision to become a panhellenic woman and join Delta Gamma will forever be one of the most significant choices I have ever made. This organization stands for many values, one of them being sisterhood. The women of Delta Gamma have been there for me every step of my college experience. They have celebrated my accomplishments, and dried my tears when I was having a bad day. The bonds of friendships in Delta Gamma cannot be put into words. These women have also given me the confidence to be myself, and I can honestly say I would not be the person I am today without their love and guidance. DG has truly become my home away from home.

Aside from sisterhood, Delta Gamma's primary purpose is to "Do Good." DG is a values based organization, striving to help others. Delta Gamma truly develops each member's finest qualities of character.

Sororities are so much more than what the media and stereotypes portray. Joining a sorority has given me confidence, life-long friendships, and an opportunity to explore my ability of being a leader. I am so proud to be a sorority woman and a Delta Gamma, and would strongly encourage you to go greek!
